Karrueche Tran shows off latest hairstyle on Instagram

According to an update to her personal Instagram picture on Tuesday, June 25, aspiring model Karrueche Tran has another new look to show off to the world.

Due to her involvement with music star Chris Brown, Tran has found her name thrust into the headlines for various reasons over the past few years and it's not surprising that her latest look has gotten quite some feedback.

Taking to Instagram, Karrueche showed off a picture of herself in front of the camera while flaunting some long, flowing blonde hair.

"hair weave killah! Thanks @cbelle8708 @shaesavin @pivotalpr @justextensions for everything today," Karrueche would state.

The photo has thus far gotten over 22 thousand likes via Instagram. Pretty notable for just a simple picture.

The look is quite the contrast from Karrueche's look just a few days prior, where she could be seen rocking black curls while out in Washington, D.C.

As for her relationship with Brown, it always seems to be a mystery, but Karrueche appears to be closer to him ever since his split from Rihanna recently.

I am really proud of her even though to a lot of people she looks like a gold-digger who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Chris Brown is being charged

US singer Chris Brown has been charged over an alleged hit-and-run car accident, police said on Tuesday, but the star claimed the other driver involved was trying to get a "payday" from him.

Brown, who is still on probation for his notorious 2009 assault on then girlfriend Rihanna, took to Twitter to proclaim his innocence over the accident in May, saying he had exchanged insurance details with the female driver.

"I have a valid drivers licence and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene. She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures," he wrote.

Frank Mateljan, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office, said Brown was charged with one count each of hit-and-run and driving without a valid licence over the 21 May incident.

'This is really ridiculous'

Media reports said Brown rear-ended a Mercedes with his Range Rover near Toluca Lake, north of LA. He stopped and swapped information, but celebrity news website TMZ suggested that he gave false information.

Brown fired off a series of tweets after the charges were announced on Tuesday. 

"It's not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous," he posted on the micro-blogging website.

"I work my ass off to provide for my entire family. I've made mistakes in the past and have worked hard to be a better person," he said, adding: "I gotta clear my name."

Brown was sentenced to five years' probation, a year-long domestic violence programme and 180 days of community service after assaulting Rihanna on the eve of the 2009 Grammys. A photo of her bruised face triggered widespread anger.

Wow, the Blackhawks win their second Stanley Cup in 4 years in a hard fought battle with the Boston Bruins.  The series included a total of 5 overtime periods and 3 series lead changes.  It was a battle to the end that looked like it was going 7 games before the Blackhawks scored two goals in the final 1:16 minutes of the game to erase a 2-1 deficit and win 3-2.

Now the celebration begins and you can follow the parties, movement of the Stanley Cup and fun with Blackhawk players on Instagram and Twitter.  To help you follow the fun, here are the handles for a group of the Blackhawk players.  Of course, not all of them have IG and Twitter accounts, but several do.  It is skewed toward younger players as you would expect but some of the older guys have caught on too.

Patrick Kane had an amazing season that he called the "best year of his life" that culminated in winning the Con Smythe Trophy for the best player during the NHL Playoffs. He was absolutely amazing scoring 9 goals and adding 10 assists. He was an absolute clutch performer that scored many of his goals when the team absolutely needed them. It was a huge maturing year for Patrick on his way to becoming an NHL Hall of Famer. While he has been on Twitter for a while, the IG account is new and not many know about it yet.

Young Andrew Shaw, 21, is one of the most fun players to watch on the Blackhawks. He plays with reckless abandon and he always seems to be around the action. While we love him here in Chicago, I would guess he is the guy that opposing fans most hate because he is so fearless and reckless. He is a hitter, passer, scorer and general disrupter of the defense. He made the ultimate sacrifice in the 6th game of the Finals taking a puck to the face and coming back stiched and swollen to finish the game (see photo).

While he did not play a lot of minutes in the Finals, he did get to start game 3 in place of Marion Hossa (injured back/leg). I am Legend author Richard Matheson dies at 87

Richard Matheson, the prolific science-fiction and fantasy writer whose I Am Legend and The Shrinking Man were transformed into films, has died. He was 87.

A spokesperson for the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films says Matheson died on Sunday in Los Angeles. No other details were provided.

Several of Matheson's works were adapted into movies, including Hell House and What Dreams May Come.

Matheson was also responsible for writing several episodes of the TV show The Twilight Zone. His instalments included Nightmare at 20 000 Feet, which featured William Shatner as an airplane passenger who spots a creature on the plane's wing.

Matheson's science-fiction vampire novel I Am Legend inspired three film adaptations: 1964'sThe Last Man on Earth, 1971's Omega Man and 2007's I Am Legend.

Why Kanye West dropped the song about Kim Kardashian

Kanye West dropped a track from his new album about Kim Kardashian after Kris Jenner complimented it.

The 35-year-old rapper has just released his sixth record Yeezus, but let go of a track named Awesome after Kim's mum and manager told him she loved the song. 

According to the August issue of W Magazine, Kanye played the tune to Kris, 57, but was less than impressed when she responded with "great job!", to which he shot back "great job?".

The Clique hitmaker and Kim, 32, became parents for this first time earlier this month when their daughter North West was born. 

Kanye has been so inspired by the birth of his child he has already started penning tracks about his new bundle of joy. 

'It's like first class service'

A source said previously: "He's been really inspired by the birth. He's written four songs already."

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Kanye is happy for him, Kim and their baby to move in with Kim's family until renovations on their new Bel Air mansion are complete.

An insider revealed: "All that's going to happen is that the family is going to wait on Kim hand-and-foot and do everything around the house while she and Kanye just chill with the baby. That sounds like a deal. It's like first class service all the way at Kim's mom's house.

"They're very thankful for the way they've been treated, and the hospitality [at the hospital] is amazing. But it's nothing like being at home, in your own space, with your own things."

Ozzy Osbourne wants to renew wedding vows to Sharon Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne reportedly wants to renew his wedding vows to wife Sharon.

The couple has endured a turbulent few months and was living apart for a period after Ozzy relapsed into drug and alcohol abuse.

Although Sharon stopped living with the Black Sabbath singer she supported him as he got sober again and made it clear she still loved him and had no intention of getting divorced.

The 64-year-old rocker - who has been sober for over 90 days - now wants to show Sharon, 60, how much he loves her and thinks a commitment ceremony would be the ideal way.

Reborn

A source told US OK! magazine: "Ozzy feels reborn and wants to show Sharon how grateful he is that she stood by him. He tells everyone that he would be dead right now if she wasn't his wife."

The rocker is believed to be considering the Hawaiian island of Maui as the location for the ceremony.

Sharon was devastated when her spouse of over 30 years fell off the wagon earlier this year but Ozzy has now left the Beverly Hills Hotel where he was staying and recently moved back into the family home. 

The couple has three children, Kelly, 28, Jack, 27, and Aimee, 29, together.

Jada Pinkett Smith gives controversial relationship advice

Jada Pinkett Smith believes cheating can improve a relationship. 

The 41-year-old actress, who has been married to After Earth star Will Smith for 14 years, says that infidelity can help create greater understanding and respect between a couple if both partners are willing to put their egos aside but hinted she would never tolerate a habitual cheater. 

Forgive and forget

The Madagascar star posted some thoughtful advice to the question, "Should I stay with a mate after she or he has cheated on me?" on her Facebook page on Thursday, writing: "My observation has been that when most people cheat, they are trying to solve a problem. They are usually in some kind of emotional trouble or confusion that they believed the cheating would relieve. 

"Know this, if someone has cheated on you who truly loves you, they have hurt themselves as much as they have hurt you. 

"This makes for a great opportunity to deepen the relationship with thorough honesty, which creates deeper respect with some serious setting of boundaries. This is also when love gets real and true and illuminates what you are made of as a couple and as individuals. Situations like these could be the windows to a deeper commitment OR... to two separate paths on the way to look for new partners. Only the unique nature of your specific relationship can be the telling factor."

She added: "This is not referring to habitual cheaters. That is a different matter."

Will forever

Jada recently said she would never leave her husband, with whom she has kids, Jaden, 14, and Willow, 12. She said: "What is the thing that Will could do that would make me not love him?

"That would make me abandon him? I can't think of one. I'm sorry. Except if he did something bad to the kids - now we've got a problem. But that's it. We've had such an extraordinary life together."

Jada also revealed she never asks her friends for relationship advice, she just discusses any problems she has with Will. 

Will Smith too expensive to star in own movie

Will Smith won't be inIndependence Day 2.

The After Earth actor was one of the lead stars in the 1996 original movie - which grossed a massive $817m worldwide - but he is unlikely to reprise his role in the follow-up film, which is due for release in 2015, because he's "too expensive".

Director Roland Emmerich told the New York Daily News: "Will Smith cannot come back because he's too expensive."

As well as being too pricey for the flick's budget, Emmerich insists the A-list star is too big a name for his movie - in which he plans to cast mostly unknown actors.

He explained: "But he'd also be too much of a marquee name. It would be too much. We have like maybe half of the people that you would know from the first film [in the script] and the other half people who are new." 

Since finding fame through his TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and movies such as the alien invasion blockbuster, Smith has become one of Hollywood's elite stars and regularly commands $20m for movie roles.

Although Emmerich has ruled out Smith for a role in the movie, it's thought his Independence Day co-stars Bill Pullman and Jeff Goldblum may appear in the sequel.

20th Century Fox recently confirmed the film's release for 3 July 2015 - 19 years.

Jim Carrey disses his latest movie

 Veteran comedian star Jim Carrey has left the Twitter-sphere reeling as he relinquishes support for his own movie, the sequel to Kick-Ass, which will be coming to SA in July.

Kick-Ass 2 is based on the comic books with the same name, and looks at the lives of a group of vigilantes, headed by teenager Kick-Ass from the previous movie, who use violence to battle violence. Jim Carrey plays Colonel Stars and Stripes, an ex-mafia henchman who turned to vigilantism with his dog Sophia

"I meant to say my apologies to others involve with the film. I am not ashamed of it but recent events have caused a change in my heart."

The movie's filming ran from 7 September 2012 to 23 November, and the horrific Sandy Hook shooting, where 20 children and six adults were shot down at their school by Adam Lanza, happened on 14 December 2012, just a month after.

It is not yet known what impact this would have on the movie's reception, especially when an actor of Carrey's caliber speaks out against it. 

The previous movie did very well, managing to garner a cult-following as well as a 76% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but was attacked by parents for the fact that an eleven-year-old Hit-Girl, played by Chloe Moretz, was swearing and performing acts of extreme violence.

George Lucas is officially married

George Lucas has married his girlfriend of seven years.

The Star Wars filmmaker wed Mellody Hobson over the weekend and the star-studded event reportedly took place at the Peninsula Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. 

Among those on the guest list were fellow movie director Ron Howard and A-list actor Samuel L Jackson. 

Shortly after the wedding Samuel Tweeted: "Let's give a Galactic shout out to Master George Lucas & his bride Melody on this their wedding day!! Congrats!!!!!! (sic)"

Ron Howard also took to social media to congratulate the newlyweds.

He tweeted on Sunday: "George Lucas Melody Hobson wedding was joy to behold Bill Moyers service was beautiful, nothing short of profound. Congrats Mr & Mrs Lucas (sic)."

George and businesswoman Melody, 44, met in 2006 and became engaged in January this year. 

Soon after, Mellody, who is president of Ariel Investments, revealed that former basket ball star and New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley was going to give her away. 

Hook director George, 69, was previously married to editor Marcia Lou Griffin, who won an Oscar for her work on the original Star Wars films. 

Lucas also has three adopted children, all of whom have appeared in his three Star Wars films made in the last decade. 

David Beckham posts a picture of Victoria smiling

David Beckham has poked fun at his wife Victoria Beckham by posting a picture of her smiling. 

The retired soccer star took to his Facebook account to upload a close-up image of the brunette beauty - who has a reputation for looking glum in photos - lying down and laughing with a massive grin on her face. 

David - who has sons Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, and Cruz, eight, as well as 23-month-old daughter Harper with the Spice Girl - wrote: "See I told you she smiles."

The rare cheerful image of Victoria has since received more than 370 000 'likes' on the 38-year-old star's Facebook page in just 12 hours. 

'Fashion stole my smile!'

It is thought the 39-year-old fashion designer might have been in such a good mood after jetting out to Beijing, China, to join up with her husband, who is in the country as an ambassador of its soccer Super League, over the weekend. 

Victoria has previously admitted she always looks glum in photos but joked the fashion industry is responsible for taking her happy appearance away. 

She said: "I actually used to smile a lot in pictures. I think I only stopped smiling when I got into fashion. Fashion stole my smile!

"I've created this person. And I'm not saying that's not me, but I wouldn't say that's the whole me ... It's an armour that goes up."

Monster University tops Weekend Box Office

 Monsters University - a prequel to Pixar's 2001 hit Monsters, Inc - buried Brad Pitt zombie flick World War Z and took the top spot at the US box office, provisional figures showed on Sunday.

The animated movie that tells how monster buddies Mike and Sulley became friends and honed their scaring skills took in $82, compared to just $66m for the apocalyptic blockbuster, on their opening weekend.

Superman reboot Man of Steel dropped to third, bringing in $41m after opening in the top slot last weekend with earnings of $116.6m.

Coming in fourth was This is the End, an apocalyptic comedy starring Seth Rogan and James Franco, which brought in $13m, according to figures from industry tracker Exhibitor Relations.

Iron Man 3 still going

Sleeper hit Now You See Me, about an FBI agent and an Interpol detective who hunt down a team of illusionists performing bank heists during their shows, came in fifth with $7.9m.

Action sequel Fast & Furious 6, starring Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez, added another $4.7m, taking its outright haul to $228m and putting it in sixth place.

In seventh was the Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson comedy The Internship, which sees theWedding Crashers co-stars competing with tech wizards after scoring an internship at Google. The film took in $3.4m.

Low-budget horror film The Purge - which scored a surprisingly strong opening two weeks ago to top the box office - fell to eighth place with $3.4m.

However, the $3m Universal feature starring Ethan Hawke and Game of Thrones star Lena Headey has now earned a total of $59m, with a sequel already in the works, according to industry reports.

Summer blockbusters Star Trek: Into Darkness and Iron Man 3 rounded out the top ten, bringing in $3m and $2.2m, respectively. Iron Man 3 has made more than $400m since its release two months ago.

Jane Wicker, wing walker dies at the age of 44

The pilot of a plane killed in a crash at a US air show has been hailed for preventing more deaths.

The plane carrying wing walker Jane Wicker crashed and exploded into flames at the Vectren Air Show at Dayton International Airport in Ohio, killing pilot Charlie Schwenker and Ms Wicker instantly, authorities said, but no spectators were hurt.

A video posted on WHIO-TV shows the the 450 HP Stearman biplane turn upside-down as the stuntwoman sits on top of the wing.

The plane then tilts and crashes to the ground, exploding into flames as spectators scream.

Ian Hoyt, 20, an aviation photographer and licensed pilot, was at the show with his girlfriend. He said he was taking photos as the plane passed by and had just raised his camera to take another shot.

"Then I realised they were too low and too slow. And before I knew it, they hit the ground," he said.

Mr Hoyt could not tell exactly what happened, but said it appeared that the plane stalled and did not have enough air speed. He credited the pilot for steering clear of spectators and potentially saving lives.

"Had he drifted more, I don't know what would have happened," Mr Hoyt said.

On the video, the announcer narrates as the plane glides through the sky and rolls over while Ms Wicker perches on a wing.

Federal records show that the plane was registered to Ms Wicker, who lived in Loudon, Virginia.

A post on her Facebook page announced the deaths of her and Mr Schwenker and asked for prayers for their families.

The show was cancelled for the rest of the day, but organisers said events would resume today and follow the previous schedule and normal operations. The National Transportation Safety Board said it is investigating the crash.

Another spectator, Shawn Warwick of New Knoxville, told the Dayton Daily News that he was watching the flight through binoculars.

"I noticed it was upside-down really close to the ground. She was sitting on the bottom of the plane. I saw it just go right into the ground and explode."

Then Tran, of Fairfield, said he could see a look of concern on the wing walker's face just before the plane went down.

"She looked very scared. Then the airplane crashed on the ground. After that, it was terrible, man ... very terrible."

Ms Wicker's website says she responded to a classified ad from the Flying Circus Airshow in Bealeton, Virginia, in 1990, for a wing-walking position, thinking it would be fun. She was a contract employee who worked as a Federal Aviation Administration budget analyst, the FAA said.

She told WDTN-TV in an interview this week that her signature move was hanging underneath the plane's wing by her feet and sitting on the bottom of the plane while it's upside-down.

"I'm never nervous or scared because I know if I do everything as I usually do, everything's going to be just fine," she told the station.

Ms Wicker wrote on her website that she had never had any close calls, adding: "What you see us do out there is after an enormous amount of practice and fine tuning, not to mention the airplane goes through microscopic care. It is a managed risk and that is what keeps us alive."

In 2011, another wing walker, Todd Green, fell 200ft to his death at an air show in Michigan while performing a stunt in which he grabbed the skid of a helicopter.

In 2007, veteran stunt pilot Jim LeRoy was killed at the Dayton show when his biplane slammed into the runway while performing loop-to-loops and caught fire.

The air show, one of the oldest in the US, usually draws around 70,000 people.

Amanda Bynes wants 4th nose job

Amanda Bynes is planning to have a fourth nose job.

The 27-year-old actress underwent her third procedure on Saturday, but revealed she needs one final surgery to thin out the bridge of her nose and plans to post a video of her transformation online.

She tweeted: ''I made it out of the surgery alive! Haha! I'll post the video soon! I need one more procedure to thin out the bridge of my nose!''

The Easy A star admitted on Sunday that she is currently obsessed with perfecting her nose and claims to have been born with a ''birth defect'' that caused skin to grow between her nose and her eyes.

She wrote on Twitter: ''My Life Revolves Around My Nose Jobs Until My Nose Is Finshed (Sic)''

The former Nickelodeon star, who recently revealed she had her breast implants removed, had her first nose job in early May and despite initially being happy with the results, she underwent a second procedure in early June and a third on Saturday, to shave down ''the bone that forms the bridge of my nose'' to increase her confidence.

A source close to the retired actress, who hopes to carve out a new career in the music industry, suggested that she is on the verge of becoming addicted to cosmetic surgery.

The insider explained: ''The change in her nose has made Amanda feel so more confident. She's become addicted to the confidence each surgery gives her ... She bemoaned that she stopped working because she was so vain that she didn't like how her nose was looking on camera.''

Kanye West is reported to have asked the mother of his child to marry him - and Kim Kardashian has apparently said yes.

The Sun newspaper claims that Yeezy and Kim plan to tie the knot in Paris this September.

"He's even more in love with her now than ever and they can't wait to get married."

Kanye is claimed to have spent around £500k on a rare black-and-tiger-stripe diamond ring, which he planned to give to Kim as a "push present" after the birth of their child.

They are now reported to have left the Cedars Sinai medical facility in LA and headed to a secret location to begin family life in privacy.

Their hospital bill is thought to have topped £100k.

Paula Deen thanks Food Network hours after being axed

Paula Deen wants to clear the air in her kitchen. Following Food Network's decision to fire the 66-year-old celebrity chef and not renew her contract in light of her racial slur scandal, she's trying -- once and for all -- to make peace. 

In a statement to CNN released on Friday night, the chef thanked the network for 11 "great years."

"I have had the pleasure of being allowed into so many homes across the country and meeting people who have shared with me the most touching and personal stories," she said. "This would not have been possible without the Food Network. Thank you again. Love and best dishes to all of ya'll."

The apology may be a little too late for the network, which announced Deen's firing early Friday afternoon. On the morning of Saturday, June 22, Deen's scheduled one-hour block of programming was yanked from the channel, with Giada Laurentiis' Giada at home and Ree Drummond's Pioneer Woman being shown instead.

Deen came under fire after admitting last month under oath in a deposition to using racial slurs -- including the N-word -- in the past. After bailing last minute from a scheduled appearance on the TODAY show on Friday to address the scandal, Deen released two video apologies on YouTube.

"I want people to understand that my family and I are not the kind of people that the press say that we are. I've spent the best of 24 years to help myself and others. Your color of skin, your religion, your sexual preference does not matter to me," she said.

The Emmy-winning star continued, "I am here to say that I am so sorry. I was wrong, yes. I've worked hard and I've made some mistakes. But that is no excuse."
