Singer Frank Ocean reported to
police officers that he was called
"faggot" during a recent brawl with
Chris Brown and his entourage in Los
Angeles last week, according to an
official incident report obtained by
TMZ.
According to TMZ, the documents
from the Ocean-Brown brawl detail
the fight that occurred over a
parking spot at a recording studio in
a West Hollywood, Calif. The report
says, per TMZ, that Brown punched
Ocean after Ocean told the "Don't
Wake Me Up" singer he had parked in
Ocean's spot. Two men from Brown's
crew then jumped Ocean.
During the brawl, Ocean reportedly
heard someone yell "faggot"
but wasn't sure who said it,
according to TMZ. The document also
reveals that Brown threatened to
shoot Ocean.
The "Wise Men" singer has decided
not to file charges against Brown for
the Jan. 27 incident.
"As a child I thought if someone
jumped me it would result in me
murdering or mutilating a man,"
Ocean wrote on his Tumblr on
Monday. "But as a man I am not a
killer. I'm an artist and a modern
person. I'll choose sanity. No criminal
charges. No civil lawsuit.
Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is
wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what i
want in my short life. Peace."
This is not the first time Brown has
been accused of making a
homophobic slur against Ocean, who
came out in a July post on his Tumblr
account. In the post, Ocean revealed
he had fallen in love with a man
when he was 19 years old.
Just weeks after Ocean came out,
Brown reportedly said, "Man, no
homo,"
when a paparazzi asked him for a
comment on Ocean's big revelation.
Brown, also being accused at the
time of attacking a fan and calling
the man "faggot,"
later denied using the slur against
Ocean. He attempted to clear the air,
tweeting, "My Opinion on the whole
Frank Ocean subject is ......... Love who
u wanna love. It's ur decision. People
stop searching for BS."
