Russell Brand has "let
go" of the urge to protect Katy Perry.
The couple split in December 2011
after 14 months of marriage and
though the British comic thinks his
former spouse is "perfect", he
doesn't want to interfere with her
new relationship with infamous
womaniser John Mayer.
Asked what he thinks of Katy dating
a "better womaniser" than himself,
Russell told DJ Howard Stern during
an interview: "You have to let go of
the instinct to protect someone
once you divorce them.
"So help me God, Howard Stern, I will
not compromise my ex-wife's vagina
for the sake of ratings. That woman
was perfect from top to bottom!"
'Just going through life'
The 37-year-old comic has been
romantically linked with a string of
women since splitting from Katy, but
insists he is currently single, though
he would love to find "a nice wife".
"I'm not dating anybody. Actually, I'd
like a romance. Not so much playing
the field, just going through life,
meditating, doing yoga,
concentrating on this TV show and
trying to find a nice wife," he added.
The Arthur star has recently struck
up a close friendship with Demi
Moore, and though he thinks she is a
"beautiful" person, he insists there is
nothing romantic about their
relationship.
"I really like her, she's a beautiful
person. I've not made love to her
yet, Howard, but it's a matter of time.
That's the sort of thing that'll get in
the newspaper," he joked to the
radio jock.
