A recent skateboard attack now has
Lil Wayne sued for the incident. The
rapper allegedly had his bodyguards
hit a promoter over the head with a
skateboard, leading to the lawsuit.
According to a VIBE report on Feb. 9,
Los Angeles promoter Alfredo Marino
was the victim in the attack, who
alleges that Weezy's bodyguards
were ordered to hit him over the
head. He told LA Weekly details of
the skatepark attack, saying that he
was star-struck when he saw Lil
Wayne and was trying to get a
photograph, but his bodyguards told
him "Lil Wayne does not want to be
bothered."
The bodyguards called him a
"groupie," to which Marino told them
he wasn't. However, Wayne kept
calling him one, then ordered his
bodyguards to hit the promoter. That
resulted in Marino being knocked
unconscious. He was taken to a
nearby hospital and treated there for
both a concussion and vertigo.
Marino said of the lawsuit he now
has against Lil Wayne:
"Honestly, I'm not trying to be a
millionaire for getting smacked
over the head. I want him to
realize that there are fans out
there, tons of fans out there and
this is the way he's going to
treat them?...I'm a big Hip Hop
fan, and I loved Lil Wayne's
music. Now I hate his music. But
I'm kind of like in the zone that
everywhere I go I see Lil Wayne.
I see him on TV. I hear him every
damn day on the radio. I can't
get away from this guy. It
disgusts me."
Ironically, Weezy opened up a
skatepark in his hometown of New
Orleans, and has claimed he was
retiring from rap to focus more on
skating. However, he has a new
album on the way called "I Am Not a
Human Being II." He also has several
more projects planned including
"We Are Young Money Vol. 2" and "I
Can't Feel My Face," a collaborative
album with Juelz Santana.
